"Curioser and curioser!" Still wrapping our heads around machine translation after decades of research and use
This session will discuss some of the assumptions behind, expectations from, and reality of neural machine translation (NMT). Findings from the latest experiments conducted in the University of Vienna HAITrans (Human and Artificial Intelligence in Translation) research group will be used to illustrate some of the improvements, as well as outstanding challenges regarding the use of NMT by professional and trainee translators.
